Authenticated command execution via Fastjson deserialization
Published May 5, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Deserialization in jfinal_cms 5.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands through the Ueditor route. The ConfigManager initEnv method parses attacker-controlled WEB-INF/classes/config.json with Fastjson JSONObject.parseObject, instantiating a JNDI-capable object that loads code from an RMI or LDAP endpoint. Exploitation requires backstage template-management access to replace config.json; visiting /ueditor then executes the payload with server privileges.
