Remote code execution via unsafe deserialization
Published Dec 7, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Deserialization in the DataRepository service in Ivanti Avalanche before 6.3.3 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. DataRepository fails to validate user-supplied data before deserializing it, allowing attacker-controlled objects to execute code. Authentication ordinarily gates the service, but the mechanism can be bypassed; successful exploitation runs code as the service account.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
