Cross-site scripting via unsanitized clipboard data
Published Oct 7, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Zammad Chat before 4.1.1 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript through crafted clipboard data. The embedded Chat clipboard handler places pasted content into the host page without neutralizing executable markup. Exploitation requires Chat to be embedded in a website and a visitor to interact with attacker-controlled clipboard content; the script runs in that website's browser context.
