Stored script execution via unsanitized event titles
Published Nov 8, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in Kayson Group PHP Event Calendar Lite through 2021-11-04 allows remote attackers to execute scripts in users' browsers. The events_manager.php endpoint stores the title parameter without neutralizing script markup and returns it in an event-detail response that the browser renders. Exploitation requires a victim to open the poisoned event, after which the script runs in that user's page context and can perform actions or deface the site.
