CVE-2021-41972Network attack vector

Authenticated database connection password disclosure

Published Nov 12, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Credential disclosure in Apache Superset 1.3.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read database connection passwords. The Apache advisory states only that the information is accessible in a non-trivial way and does not identify the endpoint, function, or faulty operation that exposes it. A valid Superset account is required, and the reported consequence is limited to disclosure of credentials stored for database connections.
