Reflected XSS via unsanitized URL echo
Published Oct 8, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected XSS in webTareas 2.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser via a crafted URL. Every response page echoes the requested URL path and parameters into HTML without correctly sanitizing attacker-controlled markup. A logged-in attacker must induce a platform user or administrator to open the crafted URL, enabling session-cookie theft or page modification.
