PII disclosure via unencrypted background HTTP uploads
Published Mar 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cleartext transmission in Luna Simo PPR1.180610.011/202001031830 allows attackers to read device IMEI and installed-app data via HTTP interception. The preinstalled /system/bin/osi_bin process posts a gzip-compressed plaintext log containing the IMEI and application list to log.skyroam.com.cn about every five hours. Man-in-the-middle attackers able to observe the device's network traffic can recover the data even when the Simo service is not in use.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
