Local file disclosure via forged administrator requests
Published Sep 29, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in Streama 1.10.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to steal server-local files through an administrator. The settings/updateMultiple.json endpoint accepts a cross-origin settings rewrite, and video/addLocalFile.json then imports an attacker-chosen path without CSRF validation. A logged-in administrator must load attacker-controlled HTML; the published proof changes the local-media directory, imports /etc/passwd, and requests the resulting media URL.
