Unauthenticated code execution via PHP avatar upload
Published Jun 13, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in Church Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute code by supplying a PHP user-avatar file. The user-creation avatar handler accepts a PHP file and stores it beneath the web-accessible /uploads directory, where the server executes it as a webshell. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful exploitation runs attacker-controlled PHP with the web server process's privileges.
