Remote code execution via forged UpgradeWizard upload
Published Jan 12, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in SuiteCRM 7.10.0 through 7.10.34 and 7.12.0 through 7.12.1 allows remote attackers to execute code. The UpgradeWizard upload path accepts a ZIP containing PHP and can place its executable content on the server without validating that the request was intentionally submitted. Exploitation requires an authenticated user authorized to operate UpgradeWizard to interact with an attacker-controlled request; the PHP then runs with the web application's privileges.
