Code execution via unchecked OBJ object lifetime
Published Sep 28, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Use-after-free in Siemens NX before 1973.3700 or 1988 and Solid Edge before SE2021MP8 allows attackers to execute code via OBJ files. The OBJ parser performs operations on an object without first validating that the object still exists, dereferencing freed memory. Exploitation requires a user to open a malicious file or visit a malicious page, and code runs with the current process's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
