CVE-2021-41504

LAN privilege escalation via digest-authenticated commands

Published Sep 24, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Privilege escalation in D-Link DCS-5000L 1.05 and DCS-932L 2.17 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to alter camera settings. D-Link identifies digest authentication on the device command interface as the vulnerable locus but has not disclosed the wrong authentication operation. An attacker must already be authenticated and on the same LAN; successful abuse permits camera-configuration changes and device access.
