CVE-2021-41502Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Stored script execution via uploaded-image filename

Published Jun 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Stored XSS in the blog editor of Intelliants Subrion CMS 4.2.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in visitors' browsers. The edit workflow accepts the image[file] request value as an uploaded-image name and later renders it in blog markup without neutralizing injected tag-closing or onerror syntax. A user who can edit a published blog entry can store the payload, and execution occurs when another member views the affected blog page.
