Unauthenticated file disclosure via crafted HTTP path
Published Dec 9, 2021 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Path traversal in NETGEAR RAX35, RAX38, and RAX40 firmware before 1.0.4.102 allows remote attackers to read restricted files. The router web interface accepts a crafted HTTP packet containing a file path that escapes the web application's permitted directory. No authentication is required, and exposure is bounded to sensitive files accessible through the vulnerable web interface; no code execution is reported.
