Script execution via unsanitized 403 response query
Published Feb 10, 2022 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Reflected XSS in the D-Link DIR-X1860 web interface in firmware 1.03 and earlier allows remote attackers to run script in a victim's browser. The 403 response for paths such as //hnap/, /cgi-bin/, or /info/ reflects every value after the URL's question mark without sanitization. Exploitation requires the victim's browser to receive an unencoded payload through a man-in-the-middle path or an equivalent encoding bypass; router compromise is not established.
