Code execution via unneutralized CSV formulas
Published Sep 17, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
CSV injection in the Security Provider endpoint of Ericsson ECM before 18.0 allows remote authenticated users to plant spreadsheet formulas. The Configuration Name field accepts formula-prefixed input and exports it to Security Provider CSV reports without neutralization. A normal account can store the payload, but a report recipient must export and open the CSV in spreadsheet software for the formula to execute, enabling code execution or spreadsheet-data exfiltration.
