Privilege escalation in seatd 0.6.x before 0.6.2 allows local users to execute arbitrary commands as root through seatd-launch. When installed setuid root, seatd-launch uses execlp to locate seatd through the caller-controlled PATH, causing a planted executable to run with elevated privileges. The attack requires local command execution and a setuid-root seatd-launch installation; successful exploitation grants root-level code execution.
