Unauthenticated command injection via unquoted export parameters
Published Sep 17, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Command injection in MISP before 2.4.148 allows remote attackers to execute operating-system commands through OpenData export parameters. OpendataExport.php concatenates portal, authentication, dataset, resource, and query values into command strings passed to shell_exec without shell-safe argument handling. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation runs commands with the MISP service account's privileges.
