Unauthenticated script execution via importer error reflection
Published Oct 26, 2021 · Updated Oct 10, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Atlassian Jira Server and Data Center before 8.13.12 and 8.14.0 through 8.20.1 allows remote attackers to inject script. The /secure/admin/ImporterFinishedPage.jspa error-message path returns attacker-controlled HTML or JavaScript without neutralizing it for page output. No authentication is required, but a user must follow a crafted request before the injected code runs in the Jira origin and can read or alter browser-accessible data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
