CVE-2021-4123Network attack vector

Authenticated state changes via forged cross-site requests

Published Dec 16, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Cross-site request forgery in Live Helper Chat before 2.0 allows remote authenticated users to alter application state via crafted requests. The affected settings and operator-status handlers accepted state-changing GET requests, while the patch converts those calls to POST and activates the application's CSRF protection routine. An authenticated session is required to process a forged request; public sources do not identify a single triggering endpoint or describe a consequence beyond the CNA's availability-only assessment.
