Heap out-of-bounds read via unchecked tensor rank
Published Nov 5, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in TensorFlow before 2.4.4, 2.5.0 through 2.5.1, and 2.6.0 allows local users to trigger an invalid heap read. The RaggedCross shape function reads dimension zero from a dense input without first rejecting tensors whose rank is unknown or not two. The attacker must be able to supply crafted tensor operands to a local TensorFlow process; the disclosed effect is limited to the invalid heap read.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
