Format-string injection in Wire AVS before 7.1.12 allows remote attackers to crash the calling client or execute arbitrary code. The public advisory and its broad import commit do not identify the vulnerable function or protocol field, disclosing only that remote data becomes a printf-style format argument. No authentication or user interaction is required, and exploitation can interrupt a call or run code in the affected client process.
