Stored XSS via executable SVG uploads
Published Oct 26, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in Shopware before 5.7.6 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts by uploading a crafted SVG in Administration. Administration stores the SVG as active content, while same-origin delivery without a script-blocking content policy lets its embedded script run when viewed. The attacker needs Administration upload access and user interaction; successful execution can alter shop data through the viewer's browser session.
