Local code execution via unsanitized host address
Published Oct 26, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Medicean AS_Redis before 0.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute local code via a crafted Redis host address. The plugin inserts the configured host address into its AntSword interface without neutralizing HTML, allowing an img onerror handler to invoke Node.js child_process execution. Exploitation requires control of the Redis configuration and user interaction in the AntSword client; the published payload launches a local process.
