Stored browser script execution via unpurified filenames
Published Dec 15, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in YetiForce CRM before 6.4.0 allows attackers to execute scripts through a crafted uploaded filename. app/Fields/File.php accepted filenames and image metadata without consistently purifying HTML event attributes before stored values were rendered. Exploitation requires low-privileged upload access and another user to view the stored value, exposing that user's browser session to attacker-controlled script actions.
