CVE-2021-41113Network attack vector

Administrator creation via unrestricted backend deep links

Published Oct 5, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Cross-site request forgery in TYPO3 CMS 11.2.0 through 11.4.0 allows remote attackers to create backend administrators via crafted deep links. RouteRedirect accepted non-module backend routes and forwarded arbitrary GET parameters without per-route enablement or a parameter allowlist. Exploitation requires a victim with an active backend session to visit a compromised system and depends on the configured SameSite cookie setting.
