Cross-site scripting via unsanitized clipboard HTML
Published Sep 21, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
DOM-based XSS in the jSuites HTML editor before 4.9.11 allows remote attackers to execute script through pasted clipboard content. The editor's paste parser writes clipboard-derived HTML into innerHTML without removing executable image event-handler attributes. A victim must copy attacker-controlled HTML and paste it into the editor, after which the script runs in the page's browser context.
