UAC bypass via missing current-user privilege validation
Published Dec 14, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Missing authorization in Bopsoft Listary 6 and earlier allows local users to access protected system files through an elevated instance. The administrator-configured instance retains elevated file access and handles later Listary requests without validating the current user's privileges or presenting another UAC prompt. Exploitation requires an administrator to configure Listary to run elevated, after which a lower-privileged local user can access files otherwise protected by UAC.
