Stored XSS via unfiltered SVG events
Published Jan 23, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Vditor before 1.0.34 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in other users' browsers via crafted SVG input. Vditor's SVG event handling accepts user-supplied attributes without filtering, so stored markup executes when rendered by another user. The attack requires low-privilege access to submit content and a victim to view it, enabling script-driven data access or actions in that browser context.
