Authenticated file disclosure via API path traversal
Published Apr 6, 2022 · Updated Oct 22, 2024
Relative path traversal in Fortinet FortiWeb 6.3.0 through 6.3.15 and 6.4.0 through 6.4.1 allows remote authenticated users to read files. The GUI API controller processes crafted relative paths without confining resolution to files in the intended directory. Valid FortiWeb credentials and network access to the management API are required; the reported consequence is filesystem confidentiality loss.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
