CVE-2021-41003Network attack vector

Unauthenticated command injection via AOS-CX API

Published Mar 2, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Command injection in HPE AOS-CX 10.06.0170 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute commands through the unauthenticated AOS-CX API. The affected web management API passes attacker-controlled request data into command-processing paths without adequate validation, enabling command injection. Network reachability to the management interface is sufficient because authentication is not required; successful exploitation can modify switch behavior or configuration, with service impact bounded by the commands accepted.
