CVE-2021-41002Network attack vector

Authenticated critical-file modification via CLI path traversal

Published Mar 2, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Path traversal in the AOS-CX CLI allows remote authenticated users to modify critical files on affected Aruba CX switches. HPE identifies multiple path traversal flaws in the CLI but does not disclose the affected commands, path-handling operation, or validation failure. High-privilege CLI access is required on 10.06.0170 and earlier, 10.07.0050 and earlier, 10.08.1030 and earlier, or 10.09.0002 and earlier; exploitation can alter sensitive data and disrupt the switch.
