Session-context script execution via unsanitized process parameter
Published Dec 20, 2024 · Updated Dec 25, 2024
Reflected XSS in MONITORAPP AIWAF 4.1.6 and earlier and 5.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute scripts in a victim's session. The process_status.xhr.php endpoint accepts the process query parameter and reflects an arbitrary HTML event-handler payload without sanitization. Exploitation requires a victim to follow a crafted request to the affected management page; successful script execution can read or alter data accessible to that victim's browser session.
