Reflected script injection via unsanitized PHP_SELF
Published Oct 1, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site scripting in FlexTV beta development version allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary web script or HTML via PHP_SELF. The index.php file writes the user-controlled PHP_SELF value into a JavaScript window.history.pushState call without sufficient sanitization, allowing reflected script execution when a crafted link is loaded. Exploitation requires a victim to visit the attacker-supplied URL; successful execution runs in the victim browser context and can perform unauthorized actions or access session data.
