Session theft via unsanitized reflected web parameter
Published Mar 25, 2022 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Reflected XSS in CheckMK Raw Edition 1.5.0 through 1.6.0 allows remote attackers to run script in a user's browser via a crafted URL. The pnp_template.py web service reflects an unsanitized request parameter into the returned page, causing the browser to interpret attacker-supplied HTML or JavaScript. The endpoint requires no authentication, but a previously authenticated user must open the crafted URL; execution can expose that user's session cookie or alter page content.
