Arbitrary file move via unsanitized files[] parameter
Published Oct 11, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Directory traversal in ProjectSend r1295 allows remote attackers to move arbitrary server files via the unsanitized files[] parameter. The import-orphans.php handler accepts ../ path segments and moves the resolved file into upload/files without restricting the pathname to that directory. Attackers able to reach this endpoint can expose sensitive files, overwrite web content, or disrupt the application.
