Authenticated file disclosure and modification via unchecked IDs
Published Oct 11, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Missing authorization in ProjectSend r1295 allows remote authenticated users with the uploader role to download and edit other users' files. The download path in process.php trusts id, while files-edit.php trusts ids, without verifying that each referenced file belongs to the requester. An uploader account is required; successful requests disclose private file contents and permit unauthorized modification without interrupting service.
