Stored XSS via unsanitized album metadata
Published Dec 14, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in Piwigo 11.5.0 allows remote attackers to execute script in a viewer's browser via system album metadata. The system album properties accept script in the album name and location description and later render the stored values without effective neutralization. Exploitation requires a viewer to open the affected properties, enabling browser-context data access or actions under that viewer's session.
