Unauthenticated file disclosure via exposed path manifest
Published Sep 22, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Forced browsing in Gurock TestRail before 7.2.0.3014 allows remote attackers to read sensitive server files via exposed paths. The web application serves /files.md5 without authorization; this manifest exposes application paths that can be requested directly because access controls are missing from some listed files. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful requests disclose database dumps, hardcoded credentials, API keys, or other stored secrets without altering data.
