CVE-2021-40870Known exploitationPublic exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated code execution via traversal-enabled file upload

Published Sep 13, 2021 · Updated Oct 21, 2025

Unrestricted file upload in Aviatrix Controller 6.x before 6.5-1804.1922 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. The upload handler accepts a dangerous file type and uses a traversal-bearing path to place it where the server can execute it. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful exploitation gives code execution on the Controller host.
