Authenticated file disclosure via unchecked log path
Published Feb 18, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Path traversal in LiveConfig 2.12.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read server files through its Log File Viewer. The viewer accepts a user-chosen log path without adequately validating that it remains inside the account-specific log base directory. LiveConfig drops to the affected account before opening the file, so access is limited to files that account can already read and excludes other customers' non-world-readable files.
