CVE-2021-4082Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Forced logout via unprotected GET request

Published Dec 10, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

CSRF in the Pimcore admin logout action before 10.2.6 allows remote attackers to end an authenticated administrator's session via a crafted link. The pimcore_admin_logout route accepted a state-changing GET request and performed logout without validating that the authenticated user intended it. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator's browser to load the attacker-supplied URL and only ends that active session.
