Stored script execution via unsanitized ZIP filenames
Published Jan 13, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in Element-IT HTTP Commander 3.1.9 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via ZIP filenames. The Zip content view renders names from an uploaded archive without neutralizing HTML tags or event-handler attributes. An authenticated attacker must upload the archive, and another user must open Zip content and expand the file list, causing the script to run in that user's browser.
