Application denial of service via null dereference
Published Mar 16, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Null pointer dereference in Adobe Premiere Elements 20210809.daily.2242976 and earlier allows attackers to interrupt the application. The file parser dereferences a null pointer while processing a specially crafted file, but Adobe has not disclosed the affected parser or malformed field. The attacker needs no product privileges, but a victim must open the malicious file; exploitation interrupts only the current user’s application process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
