Application denial of service via null dereference
Published Mar 16, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Null pointer dereference in Premiere Elements 20210809.daily.2242976 and earlier allows attackers to interrupt the app via a crafted file. Its file parser dereferences a null pointer while processing malformed input, but Adobe has not disclosed the affected parsing routine or file field. A victim must open the malicious file; exploitation affects the application in the current user's context without reported code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
