Code execution via out-of-bounds WAV parsing
Published Dec 20, 2021 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Memory corruption in Adobe Premiere Rush 1.5.16 and earlier allows local users to execute code by opening a malicious WAV file. The WAV import path accesses memory beyond the end of a buffer while processing attacker-controlled file data. Exploitation requires a user to open the file, and resulting code runs with that user's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
