Code execution via out-of-bounds WAF parsing
Published Mar 16, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Memory corruption in Adobe Character Animator 4.4 and earlier allows context-dependent attackers to execute code through a crafted WAF file. The WAF parser accesses memory beyond the end of a buffer while processing attacker-controlled file data. Exploitation requires a local user to open the file, after which code executes with that user's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
