CVE-2021-4076Network attack vector

Private-key disclosure via unrestricted advertisement key lookup

Published Mar 2, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Information disclosure in Latchset Tang 8 through 10 allows remote attackers to retrieve private derivation keys via HTTP. The find_jws path accepts any stored JWK thumbprint, and find_by_thp returns a matching derivation JWK instead of restricting responses to signing keys. Anonymous network access is sufficient, and successful requests expose private-key material held by the server.
