CVE-2021-40741

Application crash via out-of-bounds parser access

Published Mar 16, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025

Access-after-buffer-end in Adobe Audition 14.4 and earlier allows attackers to crash the application through a crafted file. During file parsing, the parser accesses a memory location beyond the end of an input buffer; Adobe has not published the affected file format or parser function. Exploitation requires a user to open the malicious file, and the reported consequence is an application crash in that user's context.
