Authenticated script execution via unsanitized author field
Published Jun 14, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in Piwigo 11.5.0 Batch Manager allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser. The single-mode handler accepts a picture's author-4 form value and stores it without neutralizing embedded HTML event handlers. Administrative access is required to submit the payload, and another user must view the tainted author value before the script can read or alter data available to that browser session.
